Libraries and a bit of extra reading on Foucault
The online catalogue for the university library is down for upgrades at the moment and for a while yet, and that’s going to slow things down on this blog for a bit. I was going to be quoting, referring and critiquing a number of books over the summer.
I’ll probably be getting my hands on History of Madness this week to double-check and verify a few things brought up in discussion over the past week or so. Thanks to the upgrade, I just can’t tell if someone already has it out at the moment. In the meantime, I recommend a post on Jeremy’s Foucault blog that has an unpublished rebuttal to the Scull article about Foucault that I somewhat flirted with (albeit not uncritically) the other day. It’s just one of the things that is encouraging my double-checking.
Speaking of libraries and librarians, am I alone in thinking that Roz Hammond has always been a bit of a hottie*?
